One Tree Hill alum Bevin Prince’s husband William Friend died after reportedly being struck by lightning while boating near their home in Wilmington, North Caroline, United States. He was 33.
An NBC News affiliate in the area, WECT, reports that a friend was struck around 3.15pm on Sunday (July 3). After being flagged down during routine patrols, marine units from the county sheriff’s department and local police department responded.
In preparation for meeting with emergency medical services, deputies performed CPR on Friend. His resuscitation attempt in an ambulance lasted 20 minutes but failed. The body of the deceased was taken to a hospital where it was met by family members, WECT reported.
He helped Bisnow achieve global recognition in the commercial real estate industry as its chief executive, Bisnow said. As a recent college graduate, he joined the company in 2010.
Gregg Mayer, Bisnow’s chief operating and financial officer, said Will had a natural ability to inspire and motivate people. Ultimately, that is what he will be remembered for at Bisnow, the culture he cultivated.”
On Wednesday (July 8), Supergirl and Walker actor Odette Annable shared an update on Prince on Instagram.
The unimaginable has happened and my best friend @bevinaprince must say goodbye to her beloved husband, @britwilliam, Annable wrote. Will, writing this feels surreal. Mainly because I feel as if you were just getting started. The life and love you shared with my best friend made me feel comfortable being thousands of miles apart from you.”
While sitting in your beautiful home, overlooking the ocean, I keep thinking about the gift you gave to Bevin Prince. And to everyone who knew you, the passion that burns in your soul,” she said. During my time living with Bevin in North Carolina, I never saw you so passionate about helping people, building your business, and finding happiness like you did.
In her essay, Annable described Friend as “perfect” for Prince and encouraged readers to support the Special Operators Transition Foundation and Prince’s cycling company, Recess.
Bevin Prince shared stories about how you made her feel seen, adored her with all your heart and I will always be grateful to have been able to witness that kind of love. I am brokenhearted for her, because she has lost the love of her life and the world has lost a really good one, “Annable wrote. – Los Angeles Times/Tribune News Service
