What are the winning prizes for Powerball?
For players who match both the Powerball and all five main numbers, there are nine different prize tiers to choose from, starting at $4 if you match just the Powerball, and all the way up to the multi-million dollar jackpot prize, which is won when you match all five main numbers and the Powerball. As we all know, the Powerball jackpot starts at $20 million and if it is not won by the end of the draw, it rolls over to the next draw. There is no cap on the size of jackpots, so they can easily run into the hundreds of millions of dollars – and even billions of dollars – if there is no cap.
